Jeddah, January 2010 – SNS, the leading provider of supply chain solutions in the Gulf and Middle-East, is proud to announce that it has started working on a strategic warehousing consultancy project for Farouk Maamoun Tamer & Company, a leading trading, investment and manufacturing group dealing with healthcare products and consumer goods throughout Saudi Arabia.

Tamer distributes a wide range of international brands for medical, pharmaceutical, luxury, food and consumer products. They operate multiple regional warehouses in Saudi Arabia and have recently completed the construction of a state-of-the-art 58,000 SQM distribution center in Al Khomra to serve as their main storage facility. Tamer Co. contracted SNS to complete a full audit of their logistics operations in order to ensure they maximize the utilization of their resources whilst reducing costs.

SNS' study consists of reviewing the infrastructure, IT systems, current processes applied and overall supply chain organizational structure in an effort to identify the pains, challenges and areas to improve the operation. The study will provide the different recommendations and solutions that can be applied to ensure effective cost reduction, increase inventory accuracy and optimize the flow of goods within and across the different distribution centers.
